About DesignJourney

DesignJourney was founded in 2004 by principal designer Michael Golino. Originally focused on the development of the ORIDJINoffice modular workstation, DesignJourney expanded into other areas of industrial design as well as taking on consulting and design work in graphic, and environmental design.

Educated at UC Santa Barbara and Massachusetts College of Art, Mr. Golino's areas of study included Art History, Fine Art, Architecture and Design. His skill set ranges across traditional fine art mediums of: drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpting. He works in wood, metal and plastic and has an extensive range in various areas of computer graphics and CAD.

Over the course of his career, in addition to working as an independent designer he has worked as a museum exhibition designer, an in house graphic designer, an art project manager, a design exhibition project director, and has taught graphic design and new media at: San Diego Mesa College, San Diego Grossmont College, San Diego State University, and UC San Diego.

With more than 20 years experience in design Mr. Golino brings a unique cross disciplinary approach to all projects, letting an eclectic mix of ideas enliven the process of ideation and design.
